Meet Your Therapist
Deborah Rachel Friedman, M.S.W., L.I.S.W.
I help clients navigate anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, PTSD, social phobias, trauma histories, and personal or professional challenges. I celebrate diversity and welcome individuals from all backgrounds, creating a space where differences are respected and valued.
In my work, I help clients learn to identify what they can and cannot control, focusing on empowering them to let go of what’s beyond their influence while taking active steps in areas they can change.
I guide clients through the stages of competency, acknowledging that growth is a process that moves from uncertainty to mastery, and I encourage self-compassion along the way.
I also emphasize the importance of self-care basics—simple but powerful practices that promote mental, emotional, and physical well-being. We’ll work together to create sustainable habits that support a balanced, healthy lifestyle.
I’ve been providing therapy since 1991 and transitioned to offering talk therapy exclusively online in 2017.
Beyond my clinical practice, I also train pet, therapy, and service dogs, specializing in mobility, medical alert, psychiatric, and autism service dogs.
I go by my middle name—please call me Rachel.
